What happened to Monday (2017)
Seven Sisters
Iris recognition to access the flat
Scanning the iris...
...scanning...
...green: good iris!
A bad guy tries to access the flat with an eye in a bag...
...and the scanning is successful!
One sister tries to use the bad guy's gun, but it is fingerprint protected.
How the bad guys were able to spoof the iris recognition?
Trying the eye...
...and matching Tuesday !
(the good thing: all seven sisters have differents eyes
the bad thing: "retinal scan is written, but we see only the iris, not the retina... and below, we can see some DNA, which has nothing to do!)
So I'm stuck in a room with bad guys outside: the situation is critical. I have: a fingerprint protected machine gun...
... a dead fingerprint owner -using a specific glove to use the machine gun...
... and a razor: oh! goody! Am I lucky?
Let's cut the finger, could be useful :)
So now I have: a cut finger, some tape and needle. And I lost the last index phalanx of my left hand finger when I was young...
...inserting a needle in the cut finger...
...adapting to my left index...
...taping...
... and using the machine gun.
Double hand recognition! That's security!
A first hand access control...
... and, again, a second hand recognition device (on the right).
So now we know the origin of the eye in the bag. That's Tuesday.
Iris recognition to access the data center...
...and a second iris recognition module, but this is very high security, so I need also to enter a PIN code...
...so two irises and two PIN codes to enter the room !
(this movie was a pleasure from a biometric point of view :)
Kingsman the golden circle (2017)
Kingsman le cercle d'or
Charlie's face recognition
Fingerprint recognition to open the taxi
Relooking by Poppy: no more fingerprints
(impressive, but was already done by the Men in black :)
Spoofing the biometric scanner at Statesman
Poppy's dogs, Bennie and Jet (ah! ah!) have face recognition, and are placing Elton as "friend" (very funny)
Galahad has some trouble with Jet...
... but Elton is here to save him! Very efficient algorithm, BTW.
Blade Runner 2049 (2017)
Fingerprint access to his flat.
Archive access
Spoofing the computer...
... 3D face acquired.
Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017)
Valérian et la Cité des Mille Planètes
Routinely DNA recognition via two fingers.
Thor Ragnarok (2017)
Thor hand + voice recognition and password in the spacecraft (thanks to Ironman).
Hulk/Banner hand + voice recognition.
Guardians (2017)
Fingerprint protected access to the Patriot lab.
The Mummy (2017)
La Momie
Fingerprint protected access to the lab.
Another door, also fingerprint protected.
Dr Jekyll is allowed to enter the lab.
But not Mr Hyde. So now we know that the fingerprints are also modified :)
Mes Trésors (2017)
An iris must be captured with a high resolution camera inside glasses to further fake an iris recognition system.
Fingerprint is captured on coffee cup...
... to access the hotel room.
Iris capture, first try. Requires one minute to capture.
Much later, iris capture, second try. This time, it's OK.
The bad guy access his account with the iris...
... iris acquired
Now, they can access the account with the iris
Geostorm (2017)
Only the president can unlock the code with fingerprints...
... and eyes.
The Hitman's Bodyguard (2017) Hitman & Bodyguard
Face recognition: Michael Bryce is identified
