Many technologies related to the hand are proposed. I tried to sort them:

• Shape:
• Geometry the oldest: reading the shape of the hand and fingers
• Vein vein shape of the hand


• Pressure:
• Pressure profile
• Grip: how you grip something


• Electrical impedance:
• Impedance: associated with a touchscreen


• Gesture:
• Keystroke: how you type on a keyboard (for instance your password)
• Tapping: the way you type (like Morse code)
• Mouse: how you move your mouse
• Others: remote control, smartphone-swipe, shiver/Neuro-Fingerp Print


• Signature, a specific kind of gesture:
• Signature: how you write/sign your name
• Sound: the sound you are making when signing
• Graphic: graphic password
