With the arrival of the smartwatches, we might expect to see some kind of biometrics in those devices. But Citizen/IBM are ahead of everyone, with a FingerChip sensor inside.

• (2016 Apr) KSID unveils a Fingerprint Smart Watch.

• (2017 Feb) CrucialTec DFS (Display Fingerprint Solution) is demonstrated at the MWC included in a smart watch.

• (2018 Oct) Tappy adds biometric security to wearable payments devices: a watch strap design, adding contactless payments.
